Want to get involved?  The Writers Place is almost entirely volunteer-run, and opportunities to help exist in almost every area of our operations.  If you love reading, writing, or helping out, this could be a great opportunity to become involved with one of Kansas City’s most vibrant cultural organizations.

Events
We are always looking for friendly, outgoing people to help with events by manning our front desk, greeting and interacting with attendees, and recording  feedback and audience information.  These volunteers will have the opportunity to attend Writers Place events free of charge, while helping bring high quality literary programming to our community. They are the face of The Writers Place to our members and the public, making sure everyone who visits us is greeted warmly and has the information they need to have an enjoyable experience.
