Writers Groups

 

Summit Scribes Writers Group meets at Unity Village - Fellowship Lounge (on Maple Lane in the Motel Complex), Lee's Summit, MO at 6:45pm on the 3rd Monday of each month. Free sessions include writing and commenting exercises, occasional guest speakers, and group discussions of writing, publishing and related topics. See the website at www.summitscribes.com. Barry Roads Writers Group meets at Barnes & Noble at I-29 and Barry Road, KCMO at 6:30pm on the 2nd and 4th Monday and the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month. National Association of Women Writers (NAWW) - on hiatus indefinitely, if reformed or more info is given it will be posted as received.

The Dead Horse Society (Kansas City Area Speculative Fiction Writers Group) is a local KC-area writing group.  Our members are all speculative fiction writers (sci-fi, fantasy, horror, and all sub-genres), and we meet twice monthly for critiquing sessions.  The group can be found at www.meetup.com/kc-specfic-writers.
