John Mark Eberhart, former book editor of the Kansas City Star as well as a published poet and musician, lost his battle with cancer on Tuesday, March 19. He was an avid supporter of Kansas City’s literary community, especially The Writers Place. His heartfelt words and acts of generosity have touched many.
John Mark's family and members of The Writers Place are planning a Memorial Poetry Tribute in his honor on the afternoon of Sunday, May 26, 2:00 - 4:00pm at TWP. Please join us in creating this fund, to support once again to a community institution to which John Mark Eberhart contributed so much.
